So my best friend got engaged about 5 months ago. Her wedding was this past weekend. I flew up on Tuesday, and flew back yesterday. I had these best laid plans to atleast go walking every day.
Well, you know how best laid plans go... I also planned to not cheat until the rehearsal dinner. Again, you know how that goes.
Weather made it difficult, and then again there's a love for sleep... that did tend to win out. Since I wasn't getting a lot anyways.
So here's what happened.
Tuesday, I ate only on plan. Of course i'd have weight gain, because I was travelling nearly all day. I had no scale through out the trip. I could only go on how my clothes were feeling. Of course and how I looked in the mirror.
Wednesday, I went shopping with my sister and my friend. We went to a Hibachi Japanese Restaurant, went to the mall, had some cookies and then I had bacon and eggs for dinner. I knew I'd be bloated the next day.
Thursday, I still fit into my size 8 capri pants, so I was good. It was wedding running day. We had to get a dress fitting, drop off a cake topper, get our nails done, and a few other things. Cake topper meant going to a cake shop. Yea, I had a cupcake. OMG was it good. Then I had a BLT and shared some french fries with my best friend. Then we spent 3 hours getting our nails done. I know we did other stuff, but I can't remember what we did. I made dinner that night. I had cheated all day, so yea... might as well keep it up. I made pasta with chicken and vegetables, in a cream sauce. And some cheesy garlic bread. :)
Friday, My husband was supposed to be here by 10 am. However his flights were full and we had to reroute him all over the country. Finally, got a flight plan for him, but he'd be landing at 5. The rehearsal started at 5!! Luckily, my sister lives in town, so she was going to go get him. We loaded up the cars and I left at 2. I had made eggs and bacon for breakfast. I was on track again! I ran a few errands and picked up some junk food for our slumber party that night. We had the rehearsal, ate WAY too much at the rehearsal dinner and went to our slumber party. We indulged in candy bars and didn't get enough sleep.
Saturday was wedding day! I had waffles, eggs, and some other stuff. I could already feel the bloat, quite a bit. Luckily, my dress was a little big, not tight. Elvis picked me up and we had lunch. I had an episode where my sugar bottomed out and we almost went to the ER. We're talking full on shakes, pouring sweat, and very dizzy. We came back from it though, but I felt kinda sickly the rest of the day.
We got thru the wedding, and Sunday was a trip to Dollywood. We stopped at krispy kreme, as that was my get thru the wedding treat. We ate all day long. By the end of the day, I was really feeling it.
Yesterday, we flew back to Houston. I went back to low carb eating. We drove 3 hours and then flew for two. We took a long nap and woke up 3 hours later! I weighed in and I'm embarrassed to say I was up to 189. That's 11 lbs over what I was when I left. Now, I know some of that is from not getting enough water over my trip. Some of it was from all the horrible eating. Some of it was from the lack of sleep. Some of it was from the lack of exercise. The point is that I have to lose that weight now.
I'm embarrassed at how much I'm up, but I know how to lose it again, and by this time next week, I'll be back to where I should be. So at this point, It's time to go to the gym. Breakfast has settled.
Time to start it back up!
